Rush Hour

Rush Hour is Atlanta's very first fine art and music festival created specifically to highlight asian and black creatives in the Atlanta area. This two-day event will feature a fine art show titled "You Can Open Up Now," which features 26 visual artists, as well as 12 musical performances and DJ's all day long.

This festival serves to address the social climate of not only the black and asian community, but of the colored American community as a whole, as the art show and musical performances are curated in a fashion to speak to topics such as mental health, cultural pride and identity, family dynamics, and the experience of the colored person in America. During this two-day event, I hope that every attending person has the opportunity to engage in these ideas on a personal level, while also having the time of their life through music, fine art, and dancing.

So come out on Friday May 12th starting at 5:00PM and Saturday May 13th starting at 1:00PM to enjoy the best art and music Atlanta has to offer. We will see you at Rush Hour!

Andrew Blooms

Though we love introducing such interesting homemade flavors, we still respect & appreciate coffee in its purest form. As coffee professionals it will always be our goal to help our guest mature their palettes in the least pretentious way possible. Instead of a cupping, starting @ 10:30a we’ll be doing a coffee tasting.

Coffee tastings follows no specific protocol and it gives you more freedom in evaluating a coffee. It’s really about drinking coffee and enjoying the flavor profiles of a brewed cup.

Cuppings are communal & necessary. There’s also a time & a place for that type of evaluation. We thought that a tasting would be more fitting for the occasion, where we get to still educate our community with black coffee but in a more celebratory way. For the purist, we’ll still use the same flavor parameters (e.g., acidity, aroma, aftertaste etc.) as used in coffee cupping to assess the final cup.

No specific score or grade will be taken; The coffee we’ll be featuring, we assure its one of our higher end, single origin coffees this season, roasted by our partners @ Firelight & we can’t wait to taste it with you.
